The Homeschool Mother’s Journal~May 23

The Homeschool Mother's Journal

In my life this week…

Well I did not get the boys room finished last week as I thought I would, but I did make progress! So the work in there continues!  My aunt is having her annual yard sale on Saturday (if it does not rain) so I will be doing some additional decluttering and clearing out and boxing up! I am happy to report that both boys are finally better from their allergies, coughs and colds!

In our homeschool this week…

Another week of getting in the basics. Although we decided to extend our Chocolate Challenge unit for another week (into this week as well) and have been really enjoying this unit! We have learned so much and spent a lot of time learning about Milton Hershey’s life!

Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…

We had a fairly busy week what with our church dinner on Tuesday and then celebrating our anniversary on Thursday with a night out. Friday we ran errands and did a bit of shopping and Saturday the boys and I went to a couple of yard sales and the post office.

My favorite thing this week was…

Celebrating our anniversary! Larry did bring me a dozen beautiful white roses and I gave him a card. We kept it low-key.  I am just happy to be able to celebrate 27 years with my guy!

What’s working/not working for us…

We have nothing in this area. Everything is still working well for us!

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have…

We school year round. So school never really stops for us. Are you year rounders? Or do you take a summer break? If you break in the summer what do you do with your time off?

A photo, video, link, or quote to share…

a few pictures of my roses. I just love them!
