I have shared in the past how I make the perfect hard cooked eggs. I have been using this method every time I make eggs and they always come out perfectly.
However I sometimes have a difficult time peeling the eggs. The egg shell comes off in tiny bits or when you try to peel it you get chunks of actual egg white leaving the poor egg looking like it went through some horrible mutilation. Ever had that happen to you? I thought so.
I was on Pinterest the other day and found this wonderful and easy method for perfectly peeled eggs! After your eggs are done cooking, instead of just running cold water in the pan as I have been doing, add ice. Lots of it. Let the eggs sit in the ice for about 10 minutes or so. Dump any remaining ice and all but about an inch of water out of the pan. Pop the lid back on and start shaking that pan. The egg shells will crack and come off your eggs easily. No more egg shelling torture! Brilliant! I tried it out over the weekend and it worked! You can find the original post here.
