By The Light of the Silvery Moon

 About the Book:

Amelia Gladstone's hopes are tied up in the Titanic--hopes for a reunion with her sister and an introduction to an admirer. But when she offers a spare ticket to a down-and-out young man, her fate is about to change.

Quentin Walpole is stunned when a sweet lady secures his passage to America--and even more surprised to find his wealthy father and older brother on board the ship. Suddenly Amelia finds herself caught between the attentions of two men, but who should she entrust her heart to? As the fateful night arrives, will Amelia lose everything to the icy waters?

My Thoughts:

Have you ever been just drawn into a story on the very first page? That is what happened with me when I started reading this story! By The Light of the Silvery Moon is one of those stories!  You are hooked very quickly!  I was so excited to have the opportunity to review this book! Tricia Goyer is one of my favorite authors and has written another wonderful story!

Amelia Gladstone has the gift of helping others who are in need. Even as she is boarding the beautiful ship Titanic for her first trip to America she see feels the need to help a man who is being escorted off the ship after trying to sneak aboard. Amelia gets off the ship to find this man, Quentin and gives him the ticket that was supposed to go to her cousin, who is jail and as a result has no need of his ticket.  In doing this Amelia unknowingly changes the course of her life.

Tricia has woven a wonderful story filled with rich history and suspense. The descriptions are very vivid and you get a true feel of what is must have been like on the Titanic 100 years ago! If you are familiar with the Bible you will also recognize the story of the Prodigal Son.

If you love history and a bit of suspense, By the Light of the Silvery Moon is a wonderful adventure!
