I realized this morning that I had not posted about Kaden’s Birthday back in March. I did show you the birthday wreath I made though. I like to document the boys birthdays here on my blog so here is a little glimpse of his special day!
Kaden decided he wanted an Angry Birds birthday party this year and it was not hard to find a plethora of ideas for Angry Birds! I have a pinterest board devoted to all things Angry Birds if you are interested!
The favor bags. I found some small handle bags in Dollar Tree (not shown) in primary colors that we used for the favors. We put in bubbles(pack of 6 from Dollar Tree), a small angry bird kite (Walmart 97 cents) Angry Bird stickers (Five Below), Angry Bird erasers (Five Below) Silly Putty (Walmart).
For the cake I used Angry Bird erasers (Five Below) and Keebler Fudge Stick cookies. I also made birds nest cookies and used Robin’s egg candies for the eggs.
Birds Nest Cookies
- 1 bag of chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)
- 1 bag butterscotch chips
- 1 12 ounce bag (or large can) of chow mien noodles
melt chips on the stove top in a double boiler. Remove from heat, add chow mien noodles. Gently stir until all noodles are covered. Drop by tablespoon onto waxed or parchment paper. Add Robin’s eggs to the top. Refrigerate until firm. Store in refrigerator.
The Birthday Boy!
Make a wish!
We found a pig piñata at Party City!
It was a small party but the kids had a wonderful time!
