My Pop-Up Bible Stories~Book Review

My Pop-Up Bible Stories by Juliet David Illustrated by Daniel Haworth

My Pop-Up Bible Stories is a pop-up book containing 5 Bible stories. Each page has a pop-up scene.

The Bible stories in this book are some of the more well known stories from the Bible.

The illustrations are cute and colorful. The pop-up illustrations take up two pages for each story.  There are a total of 10 pages in this book.

Each page tells a one paragraph Bible story. The stories include:

  • Moses
  • Daniel and the Lions Den
  • Jesus bringing a little girl back to life
  • The Shepard and the lost sheep
  • Jesus calms the storm

I did find the stories a bit vague for example in the story of Moses it states that the princess of Egypt went to bathe and found a baby, named him Moses and he became a prince of Egypt. I did find that a bit to vague and there was no mention of God or his mother and sister who placed him in the river and why.

Having said that, at the end of each story the author does direct you back to the Bible to read the entire story with the book, chapter and verses where the story is located.

This pop-up book is nice and sturdy with a hard cover and firm pages. It is a cute book.

disclosure: I received a copy of this book from Kregel in exchange for my honest review. All opinions in this post and on this blog are my own.
