Last weekend I asked the boys if they would like to roast marshmallows. There was much cheering and a rousing YES!!
We have a fire pit but we have not really used it yet this year because it has been really dry in our area. I decided to surprise the boys with their own personal marshmallow roasting pot!
What you need:
- Terra cotta pots enough for each person who wants to roast marshmallows~I found mine at the local thrift store for 25 cents each. You can easily find them in stores like Walmart or garden centers.
- charcoal~I picked up mine during one of my CVS shopping deals. I picked up the kind where all you need is are matches or a lighter to light.
- Aluminum foil
- matches or a lighter
Line the inside of a terra cotta pot with foil. Drop in a few charcoal briquettes. Light charcoal. Wait for the flames to go out. The charcoal will have a white appearance. Start roasting your marshmallows!
Waiting patiently for the roasting pots to be ready!
At last the marshmallow roasting begins!
Yum! Roasted marshmallows! You can either roast them for s’mores or you can do like we do and just eat them!
