My Thoughts

The Rock Solid Faith Study Bible for Teens is a wonderful Bible! I was excited to have the opportunity to review this Bible because I was looking for a new Bible for Justin.

This translation is the New International Version. Which is the main translation we use here at home and at our church.

The type is light black which with lots of white border making it easy to read. Justin has another Bible that is where the type is written in green and I find it very difficult to read.

There are a lot of extras in this Bible. You will find the following Study helps.

  • A table of Weights and Measures from Biblical times. (which I found extremely helpful)
  • A What Do I Read Today Section with plans for reading the Bible the first time as well as a one and two year reading plan. In this section you will find boxes you can check off for each chapter of the Bible you have read to keep track of where you are in your reading plan.
  • Rock Solid Truths~examines Christian beliefs and explorations of other religion
  • Rock Solid Principles~Applies the Bible to daily decisions and challenges
  • Rock Solid Promises~Calls out what is (and is not) promised in the Bible
  • Rock Solid Plans~Explores God’s plan and will for your life.
  • Unshaken People~Provides scriptural examples of overcoming difficulties.
  • Unshaken God~Points our god’s unyielding attributes.

There is also an index to go with each of the above making it easy to find certain sections you may wish to go back and read.

You will also find a 108 page concordance in the back, well as 8 pages of full color Bible maps which include:

  • World of the Patriarchs
  • Exodus and Conquest of Canaan
  • Land of the Twelve Tribes
  • Kingdom of David and Solomon
  • Jesus’ Ministry
  • Paul’s Missionary Journeys
  • Jerusalem In The Time Of Jesus

There are a lot of detail in these maps and a map key/legend for each one.

This Bible would make a wonderful gift for a teen or even a pre-teen. Justin is 11 and we will be using this Bible for his daily Bible study.
