I know what your thinking: Green smoothies equal yucky taste, right? Come on you know that is what you are thinking. At least that was what I was thinking anyway!
Until I tried one! Can you just tell you in one word! YUM! I know it’s green but it was surprisingly good. I have seen them all over the internet and thought I would never try one. But I did and I even convinced Larry and Justin to try it. Not Kaden but then if you know Kaden you know he rarely tries anything new. Without major convincing and even then….well he just does not like to try new things.
I decided to try one since we are trying to eat healthier here. Both Larry and I have lost weight in the past few months. Larry 20 and me about 15. We are always looking for new things to add to our diet that are good and good for us. I am not a huge fan of spinach and I thought this would be a great way for me to eat it without really tasting it.
I did not follow a recipe per say. Just added 2 bananas, 2 cups of spinach (uncooked), a cup of pineapple (fresh), homemade greek yogurt, and a bit of water.
I threw it all in the blender and called it good! And it was! This will be added to our lunch/breakfast/snack menu from now on.
So are you going to try one?
